Andre Bourgeois, Beloved Charter Captain and Coast Guard Auxiliary Member, Passes Away in Grande-Digue, New Brunswick

Grande-Digue, New Brunswick – Andre Eugene Joseph Bourgeois, a well-loved charter captain and owner of Seas the Day Charters, tragically passed away on September 27, 2024.

His unexpected death has left a significant void in the lives of his family, friends, and the community.

Andre, who founded his business in August 2022, had transformed a 42-foot lobster fishing vessel into a custom charter boat, offering memorable experiences for his guests.

From fishing and sunset cruises to swimming and partying, Andre’s infectious energy made every trip special.

In addition to running his business, Andre was a skilled captain who navigated the Northumberland Strait in all weather conditions.

He was a valued member of the Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary, contributing to local maritime safety.

His 2024 season was notably successful, bringing him great pride and fostering big dreams for the future.

The Shediac coast and Robichaud Wharf will never be the same without him.

Nicole Fougere expressed her condolences on social media, saying, "Hugs Cassidy Lirette."

Isabelle Richard shared, "He was so proud of his business and did so awesome this summer. We will certainly miss him at the wharf."

Andre is deeply mourned by his mother, Beverly Bourgeois, his brother Christopher, and his sister Lisa.

His memory will live on through the countless lives he touched.
