Andrew Niedzwicki, 65-Year-Old Cyclist, Tragically Killed in Semi-Truck Collision in Clark County, Wisconsin

Clark County, Wisconsin – A tragic accident on September 17, 2024, claimed the life of 65-year-old Andrew Niedzwicki, a cyclist who was fatally struck by a semi-truck in the Township of Worden.

The accident occurred around 8:46 a.m. as Niedzwicki was riding his bicycle along County Highway N (CTH N) near Dickerson Avenue, traveling in the same direction as the semi-truck driven by 63-year-old Richard Wnek.

According to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office, the semi-truck was attempting to pass Niedzwicki when it struck him, throwing the cyclist off his bike.

Emergency responders quickly arrived on the scene, and Niedzwicki was transported to Stanley Hospital, where he was pronounced dead from his injuries.

Wnek, who immediately pulled over and reported the crash, is cooperating with authorities as investigations continue.

The accident has left the local community in shock, as fatal bicycle accidents in rural areas like Clark County are rare.

Condolences have poured in on social media, with one user commenting, “Prayers for the family of Andrew Niedzwicki.”

Authorities have not yet released further details or confirmed whether any charges will be filed.

Niedzwicki’s death is being investigated by multiple agencies, including the Wisconsin State Patrol and the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
