West Babylon, New York – Anthony Pagliuca, a 17-year-old senior at St. Anthony’s High School, tragically lost his life in a horrific car accident on September 21, 2024.
The incident occurred when a driver, Michael Desmond, ran a red light at a high speed and collided with a vehicle carrying Pagliuca and three other teenagers.
Desmond, 33, was also killed in the crash, along with Riley Goot, another passenger in the teens’ car.
Pagliuca, a dedicated athlete known for his passion for baseball and hockey, was a pitcher for his high school’s baseball team and a lifelong fan of the New York Yankees and Rangers.
He was rushed to a local hospital following the accident, but despite the efforts of medical personnel, he succumbed to his injuries.
The community is devastated by the sudden loss of such a young and promising individual.
Condolences poured in on social media, with many expressing their grief and support for Pagliuca’s family.
