Springfield, Illinois – Antoine Williams, a 39-year-old resident of Springfield, was tragically identified as the victim in a fatal shooting that occurred early Sunday morning, October 15, 2024.
The Sangamon County Coroner, Jim Allmon, confirmed Williams’ death following multiple gunshot wounds.
Williams was discovered unresponsive inside a vehicle near the intersection of East Cook Street and South 17th Street.
He was transported to a local hospital, where medical staff pronounced him dead at 1:54 a.m.
An autopsy later confirmed that Williams succumbed to multiple gunshot injuries.
