Kenneth Dale Mayne, an 87-year-old Army veteran and long-time U.S. steel mill worker, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2024. Known for his unwavering dedication and work ethic, Ken spent 31 years working in a steel plant, earning a reputation for his dependability and commitment to quality.

In addition to his impressive career, Ken proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. His honorable discharge marked a life of service, both in and out of the military, that was deeply admired by those who knew him.

Ken had a unique approach to life, often referring to the casino as his "church," and living with a sense of humor and light-heartedness. He was known for his wit, often approaching challenges in life with a smile and the determination to play his cards right.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sandra Ann Mayne, with whom he shared 42 years of marriage. Ken is survived by his children Sharon, Rich (Bobbilee), and Rodger. He was a proud grandfather to Brad (Denise), Brian (Theresa), Paige (Dakota), Madisyn, Mitchell, and Dillon, and a doting great-grandfather to Lilliana, Brooke, and Grayson. His sister, Lonni Everson, also survives him.

In accordance with Ken’s wishes, services will remain private, reflecting his modest and low-key approach to life. Kenneth Dale Mayne will be remembered fondly for his humor, kindness, and unwavering loyalty. His memory will continue to delight all who had the privilege of knowing him.
