Raymond Furman Addis, aged 86, of Mt. Airy, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born on September 23, 1937, in Franklin, North Carolina, he dedicated 40 years as a school bus driver for the Rabun County School System and was the owner of Raymond’s Camp Ground on Lake Burton. A member of Persimmon Baptist Church, Addis is remembered fondly by friends and family.

The funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 PM on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home, with interment following at Hazel Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Angela, and several children and grandchildren who will cherish his memory.
