Winny Lyons, a longtime resident of New Hyde Park, has passed away on September 18, 2024, at the age of 68. Her passing has left a profound void among her friends and family, who remember her as a funny, sweet, and kind-hearted person.
Lyons, who attended Herricks High School and Nassau Community College, was well-known in her community for her warm and engaging personality. Donna Lee, a close friend, shared her memories on Facebook, reminiscing about their teenage years spent together. “We lived a few blocks from each other and hung out in our teens. She could make me laugh until I cried,” Lee recalled. “She loved her family dearly, and I will really miss her.”
