Tullyvallen, Northern Ireland – Mrs. Betty Preston, a respected and cherished member of the Tullyvallen community, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 12, 2024, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Preston, known for her quiet strength and dedication to her family and community, leaves behind a remarkable legacy that spans several generations.
Her passing has deeply affected the Tullyvallen Rangers Football Club, where her family has long been intricately involved.
The club expressed their condolences, stating, “Betty Preston was more than just the mother and grandmother to a long line of club members—her family has been intricately woven into the fabric of our club’s history for many years.”
Her family includes her sons Keith Preston, vice chairman of the club, Rodney Preston, a former player and committee member, and David Preston, a longstanding sponsor.
Several of her grandchildren, including Neil, Isaac, and young Josias Preston, continue to carry on the family tradition as active players.
The funeral service for Mrs. Preston will be held at Clarkesbridge Presbyterian Church at 2:30 pm, followed by a private committal at Tullyvallen Reformed Presbyterian Churchyard.
