Big Falls, MN – Bill Love, a beloved husband and member of the community, tragically passed away on September 29, 2024, following a battle with multiple health complications.
His death has left his loved ones heartbroken, as tributes pour in for the man whose sudden illness and passing shocked many.
Bill suffered a light stroke on Thursday, as Hurricane Ian approached the area.
He was initially admitted to South Georgia Medical Center, where doctors worked tirelessly to understand his condition.
Once the storm subsided, Bill was transferred to Emory Hospital in Atlanta for further treatment.
On Friday night, Bill experienced a massive brain hemorrhage and was diagnosed with Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia (APL), a severe combination that proved too difficult to overcome.
His wife, Sala Wilkinson Love, shared her grief in a heartfelt social media post, saying, "My heart is completely broken as I share with you that my wonderful husband, Bill Love, passed away yesterday afternoon."
Despite the overwhelming loss, Sala expressed her gratitude for the prayers and love that provided comfort during this difficult time.
Friends and family expressed their condolences, with Cheryl Hersh Palmieri stating, "Oh Sala Wilkinson Love, I am so sorry for your loss," and Carl Parker offering, "Prayers for you and your family, my friend."
Bill Love will be remembered for his strength and the love he shared with those closest to him.
A celebration of his life is planned for a later date, following recovery efforts from hurricane damage in Valdosta.
