Ballindrait, Lifford – Brendan Mc Manus, a cherished husband, father, and grandfather, passed away early on the morning of September 27, 2024, at Brentwood Nursing Home.
He had been bravely battling dementia and cancer for several years.
Brendan’s family was by his side during his final days and hours, providing him with comfort and love as he took his last breaths.
In a heartfelt social media post, Damian Mc Manus expressed the family’s profound grief, saying, “It’s with the heaviest of hearts and great sorrow that we announce the passing of our Daddy, Husband, and Granda, Brendan Mc Manus.”
The family extended their gratitude to the staff at Brentwood Manor for their exceptional care and support over the years.
Brendan’s wake will be held at the family home in Cavan Hill, Drumleene, Ballindrait, on Friday, September 27th, and Saturday, September 28th, from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
A funeral mass, followed by burial, will take place at the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Strabane at 12:00 PM on Sunday, September 29th.
Many friends and family members have shared their condolences and memories on social media.
Carmen Jones wrote, “Aw, so sorry for the loss of your Dad; you have all been in my thoughts.”

Brendan Mc Manus leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to his family and community.
