Chatfield, MN – Brian Ralph Shank, 59, passed away suddenly on Friday, September 27, 2024, while enjoying one of his favorite pastimes: riding his Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
Born on October 21, 1964, in Rochester, MN, to Ralph and Marie (Hove) Shank, Brian was known for his love of vehicles and mechanics.
A graduate of St. Charles High School in 1983, Brian worked as a mechanic before transitioning to a career in the sprinkler industry in 2001, where he planned to retire on November 1, 2024.
Brian was passionate about anything with wheels and power, frequently attending car shows, tractor pulls, and drag races.
He was also deeply committed to his family and friends, always willing to lend a helping hand.
Brian is survived by his beloved wife, Kelly Campbell Shank, and his children, Emily (Tyler) Moger of Preston, MN, Jamie (Ahna Warner) Bushman of Muscle Shoals, AL, and Christopher (Elizabeth) Bushman of St. Cloud, MN.
He also leaves behind seven grandchildren, several siblings, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life for Brian and his best friend, Mark Holzer, who passed away alongside him, will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at the Winona County Fairgrounds in St. Charles, MN.
In remembrance of Brian’s love for motorcycles and cars, attendees are encouraged to wear Harley-Davidson or muscle car attire.
