Crofton, Nebraska – Bridget Schumacher, a cherished elementary school guidance counselor, has tragically passed away following an accident over the weekend.
The news has left the Crofton Elementary School community and many others heartbroken as they mourn her untimely loss.
Schumacher, who joined Crofton Elementary in 2019, was well-regarded for her dedication to the school and her heartfelt commitment to her students.
She married Taylor Schumacher in 2018, and together they built a family filled with love and joy.
The profound impact of her passing has resonated widely, especially among her friends and colleagues from her years as a basketball player.
Margaret Joan, a former teammate, shared her grief on social media, stating, “Bridget was the type of person who made you want to be better, not just at hoops, but in life and all things… she was truly such an inspiration.”
The community of Crofton and members of “Coyote Nation,” the sports community Bridget held close, are collectively mourning her absence and honoring her legacy.
Cindy Johnson Brown expressed her condolences, noting, “Bridget always had a smile, always had time to visit with a fan, and always loved her Coyote family.”
The family requests that those wishing to support Bridget’s memory reach out directly to the school instead of making online contributions.
Schumacher’s positive influence will be dearly missed as friends, family, and community members remember the warmth and commitment she brought to all aspects of her life.
