Metairie, Louisiana – Cameron Blackwell, a 27-year-old resident of Belle Chasse, tragically passed away in a motorcycle accident early Sunday morning, October 7, 2024.
The accident occurred on the elevated section of Clearview Parkway near Earhart Boulevard.
According to a preliminary report from the Louisiana State Police, Blackwell was riding his motorcycle northbound when he lost control, veering off the road and crashing into a guardrail.
The impact of the crash threw him over the guardrail, causing fatal injuries despite wearing a helmet that met safety regulations.
Blackwell was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the cause of the accident, considering factors such as speed and road conditions.

Jeremy Hubaker shared a heartfelt message on Facebook, stating, "Cameron Blackwell you are such a great person this world did not deserve a young man such as yourself.
I’m going to miss you wholeheartedly."
