Abington, Massachusetts – Christopher Berard-Bulman, a 44-year-old resident of Dedham, tragically lost his life in a single-car crash on Saturday, October 14, 2024, at approximately 7:26 p.m.
The accident occurred on Route 139 in Abington, and authorities believe excessive speed may have been a factor.
In addition to Berard-Bulman, an 8-year-old girl, who was a passenger in the vehicle, sustained serious injuries and was rushed to South Shore Hospital before being airlifted to Boston Children’s Hospital.
Her condition remains critical, and her family is by her side as she receives ongoing medical care.
The incident has left the local community in shock, with many expressing their condolences on social media.
One Facebook user, Teresa Smith DiMarzio, commented, "So sad but people think they can speed anywhere they want.
Now an 8-year-old doesn’t have a dad."
Another, Meredith Fagan Fuller, mentioned a local restaurant collecting donations for the family, adding, "They are taking donations, and a percentage of their sales will go to the family."
Plymouth County District Attorney’s office continues to investigate the crash, which also claimed the life of a dog that was in the car.
Funeral arrangements for Christopher Berard-Bulman will be announced by the family at a later date.
