Vevay, Indiana – Deborah Lee "Debbie" Byrd, a loving mother and cherished member of her community, passed away on October 5, 2024, following a challenging battle with Stage 4 Adenocarcinoma, as well as bone, lung, and abdominal cancer.
She was known for her kindness, generosity, and the love she extended to those around her.
Debbie’s daughters, Alicia, Andrea, and Angie, were devastated by the loss of their mother, who fought courageously despite her difficult diagnosis.
A fundraiser has been organized by Melanie Mason to assist the family with covering the remaining costs of Debbie’s funeral and memorial services.
Although Debbie had insurance that covered a portion of the expenses, additional support is needed to ensure she receives the proper services she deserves.
The Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home in Vevay will host her visitation from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2024, followed by funeral services at 3:00 p.m.
Tributes poured in from the community, including a heartfelt message from Rilynn Roberts, who expressed, “Love you always, Ant Debbie.”
Debbie’s warmth and compassion will be missed by many who were touched by her life.
Her legacy of love and strength will continue to inspire her family and friends.
