Fair Lawn, New Jersey – Deborah Susan Cayetano, known for her vibrant spirit and lifelong dedication to family and community, passed away peacefully in her sleep, bringing an end to her courageous journey filled with resilience and love.
She was a devoted mother and a cherished figure in her community, fondly remembered for her years of service at the Empress Diner and her lifelong love for animals.
Cayetano, who had faced various health challenges throughout her life, remained active and positive, maintaining her joy for life through her love of family and sports, especially her favorite team, the Yankees.
Her son, Craig Cayetano, shared a heartfelt tribute, expressing gratitude for the times they spent together, including attending numerous Yankees games and celebrating special occasions.
“She was so happy in her new place, making it a true home in just a few months,” Craig wrote, recalling how Deborah had recently found a renewed sense of peace and happiness.
Friends and family, including Amy Sue, Mary Kathryn, and Lori Jane, shared condolences on social media, with Lori remembering, “I always enjoyed chats with Mom when we were neighbors. She was always so engaging and kind.”
Deborah’s kindness extended beyond her family, as she actively supported organizations such as the ASPCA and the Red Cross, embodying her lifelong values of compassion and community care.
