Terre Haute, Indiana – Donald R. Elmore, a devoted father, dedicated man of faith, and beloved community member, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2024, at the age of 88.
He was surrounded by his children, Curtis and Kathy, during his final moments at 2:20 a.m.
Donald Elmore leaves behind a remarkable legacy rooted in his unwavering dedication to his faith and his deep love for gospel music.
Serving in ministry for over 62 years, he was known for his passion for the guitar and his ability to inspire others through music and compassion.
His faith and kindness touched the lives of many in his community.
Mr. Elmore is reunited with his daughter, Yvonna, as well as his late wives, Annetta and Edith.
Funeral arrangements will take place at Debaun Funeral Home in Terre Haute, Indiana, on Saturday, October 5, 2024.
Visitation hours are scheduled from 10:00–11:00 a.m. for family members, and 11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. for friends and extended relatives.
A memorial service will follow at 1:00 p.m., led by Pastor Merrill Weir and Rev. Kenneth Coffman.
Donald Elmore will be laid to rest at Roselawn Cemetery, where his memory will continue to be honored by all who knew and loved him.
