Utica, Michigan – Douglas Joseph Wurth, a devoted husband, father, and retired groundsman from Utica Community Schools, passed away on September 27, 2024, at the age of 81.
He was a beloved figure within his community, known for his love of hunting, fishing, and model trains.
Douglas is survived by his wife, Dorothy (nee Reynolds), and his children, Cheryl, Bridget, and Anthony.
He is also remembered by his siblings, including Vincent, Barbara, Kenneth, Juanita, Francis, Mary, and Gloria, as well as many late siblings.
A well-loved family man, Douglas was cherished by his extended family, including brothers-in-law William, Brian, and Daniel Reynolds.
Douglas will be fondly remembered by those who knew him for his kind and gentle nature.
His visitation will take place on Sunday, October 6th, and Monday, October 7th, from 3-8pm at Wujek-Calcaterra & Sons, Inc.
A Rosary will be held on Monday evening, followed by a Mass on Wednesday, October 9th, at St. Lawrence Church in Utica.
Douglas will be laid to rest at Christian Memorial Gardens West.
