Houston, Texas – Authorities are searching for Edward Charles Taylor, a 58-year-old suspect, who has been charged in connection with a shooting that occurred on Thursday morning, October 10, 2024, at 8018 Colonial Lane.
Taylor is wanted on suspicion of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after a family argument escalated, resulting in gunfire.
The 69-year-old male victim, who is related to Taylor, was shot in the right leg during the altercation and is currently receiving treatment at a local hospital.
No updates on his condition have been provided.
The incident is being handled by the Houston Police Department’s Major Assaults & Family Violence Division.
According to Detective J. Chavez, police were called to the scene after reports of gunshots and learned that the argument between Taylor and the victim had turned violent, culminating in the shooting.
Taylor fled the area after the shooting, and an arrest warrant has been issued.
The Harris County District Attorney’s Office has accepted the charges against him.
