Eileen Zaldonis, Beloved Nurse and Dedicated Northeast Border Terrier Club Member, Passes Away in Connecticut

Simsbury, Connecticut – Eileen Zaldonis, a compassionate nurse and treasured member of the Northeast Border Terrier Club, has passed away on October 1, 2024.

Her passing leaves a deep void in the hearts of family, friends, and the numerous communities she was part of.

Eileen was highly regarded for her wit, warmth, and dedication both in her professional career as a nurse and in her contributions to the dog clubs she was passionately involved with.

She was a devoted member of the Border Terrier Club of America and the Northwest Connecticut Dog Club, serving in numerous leadership roles, including as the NBTC Trophy Chair and a member of the BTCA Board of Directors.

Dr. Jennifer Pennoyer expressed her sorrow on social media, stating, “The world lost another shining light.

Eileen was truly one of a kind and loved by all who knew her.” Fellow friends and colleagues echoed these sentiments, with Suzanne Reynaud and Pat Sanga offering their deepest condolences, and Cathryn Chapman Thermer adding, “May all who mourn her passing find comfort.”

Eileen is survived by her husband, Tony, and her children, John, Pauline, and Maura.

Visitation will be held on October 11, 2024, at Vincent Funeral Home in Simsbury, Connecticut, followed by a Funeral Mass at Saint Mary’s Church on October 12.

Her memory will live on through the countless lives she touched.
