Lyons, IL – Gene Casias, a cherished uncle and friend, has passed away, leaving his family and friends deeply mourning his loss.
Gene was remembered by his family as someone who always offered a warm smile and kind words to everyone he met, touching the lives of those around him.
In light of his passing, a fundraiser has been organized by Tracy Ramirez to help cover the costs of Gene’s final arrangements, with a goal set at $4,000.
So far, generous contributions from supporters, including $500 from Jeffery Casias and $60 from Tasha Merritt, have brought the family closer to their goal, covering about 27% of the expenses.

Gene’s family shared, "Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to honoring his memory properly."
They expressed gratitude for the kindness, compassion, and generosity shown during this difficult time, as they prepare to give Gene the respectful farewell he deserves.
His family continues to invite friends and supporters to share the fundraiser page, honoring Gene’s memory by bringing loved ones together.
