Gerhard Van Den Bergh, Respected Biker and Community Leader, Dies in Motorcycle Accident at M19/Melkbos/N7 Turnoff

Cape Town, South Africa – Gerhard Van Den Bergh, affectionately known as "Wurm," tragically passed away following a motorcycle accident on October 26, 2024, around 7 p.m. near the M19/Melkbos/N7 turnoff.

As a highly respected figure in the biking community, Gerhard’s passing has deeply affected friends, family, and fellow riders.

Gerhard began his biking journey as the President of Scattered Links MCC and later joined The Breeds MC, where he continued to make a lasting impact.

Known for his dedication and commitment, he was a beloved presence among local bikers.

Tracy Van Den Bergh, a close family member, shared the heartbreaking news on social media, stating, "Wurm passed away this evening… after he was in an accident on his motorcycle."

Condolences poured in from friends and community members, with Ashley Marais commenting, "My heartfelt condolences to you and the family and friends. Ride the highways of heaven, brother."

Another mourner, Jacques Christiaan Radyn, expressed his sadness, saying, "All my condolences to the family and friends… so sad to hear of our brother… RIP brother."
