Bullock County, Alabama – Guadalupe Hernandez-Gomez, a 39-year-old resident of Montgomery, tragically lost his life in a devastating two-vehicle crash in Bullock County on Wednesday, October 2, 2024.
The accident occurred at approximately 10:20 a.m., about five miles east of Midway, along U.S. Highway 82 near mile marker 213.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, Hernandez-Gomez was driving a Toyota 4 Runner when his vehicle collided head-on with a Freightliner Cascadia tractor-trailer.
The force of the collision was so severe that Hernandez-Gomez died instantly at the scene.
Authorities have confirmed that he was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, which likely contributed to the fatal outcome.
The condition of the Freightliner driver remains unknown at this time, and no other individuals were involved in the accident.
