Humboldt Resident Angela Zeigler Tragically Killed in Motorcycle Accident on U.S. Highway 169

Humboldt, Iowa – Angela Zeigler, a 40-year-old resident of Humboldt, tragically passed away on Saturday evening following a head-on collision while riding her motorcycle on U.S. Highway 169, just north of Humboldt.

According to a report from the Iowa State Patrol, the accident occurred at approximately 8:12 p.m. when a vehicle driven by Reggie Clark, 56, also of Humboldt, made a left turn into 1731 Lincoln Avenue directly in front of Zeigler’s motorcycle. The collision was severe, and despite the rapid response of emergency services, Zeigler was pronounced dead at the scene.

Emergency responders from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, Humboldt EMS, Humboldt Fire Department, and the Humboldt County Medical Examiner were immediately dispatched to the scene. The area was cleared with assistance from Jergens Towing. Fortunately, Reggie Clark was not injured in the accident, and authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the tragic event. No charges have been filed as of yet.

Angela Zeigler’s passing has left the community in mourning. She was known as a beloved member of the Humboldt area, and her sudden loss has deeply affected her family, friends, and colleagues. Her tragic death has also raised awareness about the importance of road safety, especially for motorcyclists who are more vulnerable on the road.

The news of her passing prompted an outpouring of condolences and tributes on social media. DeAnn Morsching shared, “She was an awesome person to be around.” Kelley Roe added, “Prayers for her family.” Samantha Jo expressed, “Rest in peace, Angie… Zane especially is in my thoughts!!” and Hollie Pritchard offered, “Sorry to hear, prayers.”

Debra Miller extended her thoughts, saying, “Prayers for this woman’s family and the man who was driving the vehicle.” Earl Warren posted multiple comments, stating, “Prayers for her family so very sorry for your loss.” Mikey Hinkel wrote a heartfelt message, “Will always love you, Angela Zeigler,” while Lindsy Johanson shared, “Prayers to the family.”

The community continues to grieve as the investigation into the crash proceeds.
