Spartanburg, SC – Jacob Rush, 33, a beloved resident of Spartanburg and Toronto, Ohio native, passed away on October 2, 2024, following a motorcycle crash on September 26, 2024.
Rush had been on life support for six days before succumbing to his injuries.
The accident occurred in Spartanburg when Rush’s motorcycle collided with a car at a busy intersection.
Though first responders quickly arrived and rushed him to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center, the severity of his injuries, including significant brain and body trauma, led to his passing.
Jacob was well-known for his love of life and animals, leaving behind a legacy cherished by his family and the community.
Friends and acquaintances took to social media to express their sorrow.
Louis Exterovich posted, “Rest in peace Jacob Rush, you’ve always been a good friend and one hell of a guy.
I’ll keep your family in my thoughts.”
Another friend, Alexandria Bravo, expressed shock, writing, “Oh no way, WTF.”
The investigation into the crash is ongoing, but authorities have confirmed that neither drugs nor alcohol were involved.
