Jarawn Jones Wilson, 23, Dies in Motorcycle Collision Following Unsafe U-Turn by Another Driver in Ferguson

Ferguson, Missouri – Jarawn Jones Wilson, a 23-year-old motorcyclist from North Carolina, tragically lost his life on October 28, 2024, in a fatal crash involving another vehicle on West Florissant Avenue, north of Canfield Drive.

The accident occurred early Sunday morning when another driver attempted an unsafe U-turn in front of Wilson, according to the Missouri Highway Patrol.

Wilson, originally from the Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune area near Jacksonville, North Carolina, was heading north on the four-lane avenue when a Dodge Journey in the lane next to him abruptly turned into his path.

Despite his efforts to swerve and avoid impact, Wilson was ejected from his motorcycle, succumbing to his injuries at the scene.

The driver of the other vehicle, identified as 29-year-old Robert L. Green from St. Louis, was reportedly wearing a safety device along with a passenger at the time of the incident.

Friends and family of Wilson have expressed their sorrow online, mourning the sudden and tragic loss of a young life cut short.

The incident remains under investigation as authorities seek further details on the crash.
