Javier Morales Jr., Oklahoma City Podcast Production Assistant, Tragically Killed in Shooting

Oklahoma City, OK — Javier Morales Jr., a beloved production assistant for the popular podcast “I’ve Had It,” was tragically shot and killed over the past weekend in Oklahoma City. His sudden death has left his family, friends, and colleagues devastated as they mourn the loss of a bright young man whose life was cut short by the very gun violence his family has long worked to combat.

Javier Morales Jr., affectionately known as “Lil Javi,” was not only a diligent worker but also a vibrant presence in the community. Jennifer Welch, co-host of “I’ve Had It,” expressed her grief, saying, “Javi is one of those individuals who exudes brightness. It’s just horrible to be here without him.” His contributions to the podcast and to the lives of those who knew him extended far beyond his professional role.

The tragedy strikes especially hard as his father, Javier Morales Sr., works with the organization LiveFree OKC, a charity dedicated to reducing gun violence in Oklahoma City. The family is now grappling with the loss of their son to the very violence they seek to eradicate.

LiveFree OKC shared their sorrow on Facebook, stating, “The LiveFree OKC family is heartbroken for our PeaceMaker and family member, Javier Morales, at the loss of his eldest son, Javier Morales, to the same gun violence they sought to prevent.”

Friends and members of the community have expressed their condolences on social media. Chris Wigley wrote, “R.I.P. Javier Morales,” while Cortez Carter added, “Send my condolences. Sad to hear that brobro.”

Javier Morales Jr. will be remembered for his kindness, hard work, and the joy he brought to those around him, leaving a lasting impact on both his family and his community.
