Morinville, Alberta – Jeanette Elaine Dorosh (nee Bauwens), a cherished member of the Morinville community and successful businesswoman, passed away peacefully at her home on September 19, 2024, at the age of 74.
Surrounded by her loved ones, Jeanette left behind a lasting legacy marked by her artistic talent and deep compassion.
Born on July 5, 1950, in Edmonton, Alberta, to parents Simone and Julian Bauwens, Jeanette was raised on a farm before making Morinville her lifelong home.
She became a renowned entrepreneur, founding Rubyjean Ceramics, which she successfully ran for over 35 years before selling the business in 2004.
Despite retiring, Jeanette continued her passion for painting and spent her later years traveling with her husband, Zane, and fostering rescue animals, a cause close to her heart.
Jeanette is survived by her husband Zane, her children Kelly and Michelle, her grandchildren, and great-granddaughter Paislee.
She was predeceased by her parents, Simone and Julian Bauwens.
The family has requested that donations be made to local animal rescues or the Canadian Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
A celebration of her life will be held at a future date.
