Jeremiah Thomas Fallon, Jr., a beloved resident of North Canaan, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2024, at the age of 93. Fallon, known as Jerry to friends and family, died at Noble Horizons, a retirement community where he spent his final days. He was the devoted husband of the late Anne Perotti Fallon.
Born on March 26, 1931, in Great Barrington, Massachusetts, to Jeremiah Thomas Fallon, Sr. and Roberta Fitzgerald Fallon, Jerry grew up in North Canaan and attended Housatonic Valley Regional High School, where he was an athlete who excelled in football, basketball, and baseball. He later served his country honorably in the United States Marine Corps, reaching the rank of sergeant.
Jerry worked for Southern New England Telephone Company before retiring early at age 55. He was also involved in Little League coaching in North Canaan and was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus.
He is survived by his children, Jeremiah T. Fallon, III and Lisa Fallon Neary, as well as his grandchildren, whom he cherished. His legacy of kindness and community involvement will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.
A wake will be held on Monday, September 23, 2024, followed by a Catholic Funeral Mass on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at Saint Martin of Tours Church in North Canaan.
Condolences poured in on social media, with Patricia Casey Whalen remembering Jerry as "a very caring man." Melissa Gandolfo added, “My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.”
