Jerry Covington, Iconic Motorcycle Builder, Passes Away Leaving a Legacy of Innovation and Kindness

Woodward, Oklahoma – Jerry Covington, a legendary figure in the motorcycle and custom car industry, has passed away, leaving behind a remarkable legacy that blends innovation with artistry. Covington, known for his iconic custom builds, died on October 10, 2024.

Covington’s contributions to the motorcycle world, particularly through his involvement with OC BikeFest and his renowned builds, earned him recognition and admiration from enthusiasts and peers alike. He crafted two of the OC BikeFest giveaway bikes, which showcased his extraordinary talent and creativity.

Beyond his mechanical achievements, Covington was known for his kindness, love for his family, and deep relationships with those who had the privilege of knowing him. "Jerry will be missed by MANY," wrote Todd Carruthers, a friend who shared memories of Jerry’s attention to detail and his larger-than-life personality. Another tribute from Bob Luecke, a longtime associate, emphasized Covington’s integrity: "He was a good man… as good as they get."

Jerry Covington’s passing marks a profound loss for both the motorcycle community and those who cherished his friendship. He is remembered not only for his craftsmanship but also for his generous spirit and love for his family. Funeral arrangements will be announced by the Covington family in the coming days.
