Stratford, Connecticut – John Enright, a creative producer at ESPN and a cherished friend, husband, and mentor, has passed away at the age of 34 following a courageous battle with cancer.
His passing leaves an indelible void among his family, friends, and colleagues who remember him for his warmth, humor, and dedication.
Born on July 12, 1990, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, to John Lewis and Susan McLoughlin Enright, John grew up in Stratford, where he attended Bunnell High School and St. Mark School.
He graduated from Marist College with a degree in Sports Communication and formed lifelong bonds, including his involvement in an intramural dodgeball team, “John Enright & His Merry Men.”
After college, he fulfilled his dream of joining ESPN, where he contributed to productions for Monday Night Football, the NBA, and SportsCenter, earning five Emmy Awards and mentoring young talents along the way.
His wife, Amanda Wagner Enright, whom he met at ESPN, remembered John as a beloved husband and a joyful pet parent to their dog, Frito.
