Hazlehurst, Georgia – Ka’Cee Jones, a 7th-grade student at Jeff Davis Middle School, tragically passed away following a fatal accident earlier this week.
The accident also left fellow student Brantlee Stapleton with serious injuries.
Ka’Cee was known for his infectious smile and kind spirit, leaving an indelible mark on those around him.
While the cause of the accident has not been disclosed, the loss has devastated the school and local community.
In a statement, Jeff Davis Middle School expressed deep condolences, saying, “We want the families to know they are not alone—we care about them deeply, and they remain in our constant thoughts.”
Counseling services have been made available for students as they cope with the sudden loss.
Heartfelt messages poured in on social media, with Dollie Lee sharing, “I don’t know how I’m gonna drive that bus without you… I will miss you so much.”
Tonya Rackley Miles remembered Ka’Cee fondly, stating, “He was so precious and loved you.”
Funeral arrangements for Ka’Cee Jones are yet to be announced, and his family is expected to release more details soon.
