Bear, Delaware – Keith Turner-Simmons, 29, has been identified as the victim of a fatal three-vehicle crash on Interstate 95 in Delaware on the morning of October 12, 2024.
The accident occurred near Churchman’s Marsh around 4:18 a.m. when Turner-Simmons, driving a Kia Forte, veered onto the shoulder and collided with a stationary bucket truck.
Tragically, Turner-Simmons was ejected from his vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
According to Delaware State Police, he was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision.
The driver of the bucket truck, a 61-year-old man from Mineral Point, Wisconsin, had stopped to inspect his vehicle and sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
A second collision occurred when Turner-Simmons’ car ricocheted into the center lane and struck a Hyundai Tucson, driven by a 45-year-old man from Bear, who was unharmed.
Southbound I-95 was closed for several hours as authorities investigated the incident and cleared the roadway.
Michael Minuti shared his condolences on social media, writing, "Thoughts and prayers are going out to the family of Keith Turner-Simmons who passed away in this Delaware motor vehicle accident."
This tragic incident serves as a reminder of the importance of seatbelt use and road safety.
Authorities are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
