Corowa, Australia – The Corowa community mourns the loss of Ken Weir, a highly respected Vietnam veteran and esteemed member of the Corowa RSL Sub-Branch.
Ken Weir, who proudly served with B Coy 3RAR under service number 3788585, passed away recently, leaving behind a legacy of service and dedication to his country and community.
His passing has deeply affected those who knew him, and his presence will be sorely missed.
A funeral service for Ken Weir is scheduled for this coming Friday, October 11, 2024, at Tobin Brothers Funerals in Corowa, starting at 11 a.m.
Members of the Corowa RSL Sub-Branch have been invited to attend, with medals to be worn, as a sign of respect.
After the service, friends and family will gather at the Corowa RSL to share stories and fond memories of Ken.
Condolences poured in on social media, with Lesley Rinehart, President of the Corowa RSL, expressing deep sympathy to Ken’s family.
Donna King, the Secretary of the RSL, shared similar sentiments, while another close friend, Bernina Gezici, wrote, “Ken will be missed. Fly high with your mates.”
