Kendra Smith Brown, a dedicated long-haul truck driver and cherished family matriarch, passed away on the morning of September 27, 2024, at the age of 81.
Brown had spent over 40 years as a truck driver, traveling extensively across the United States, with the exception of Alaska and Hawaii.
However, the last decade of her life was marked by a debilitating stroke, which left her paralyzed on the right side of her body and confined to a wheelchair.
Despite these challenges, her family remembers her as a resilient woman who continued to inspire those around her.
Lanore Carter Lippard shared her deep sorrow on social media, stating, “She was a mother of 5, a grandmother of 9, and a great-grandmother of 2… she will be greatly missed.”
Brown’s loved ones, including her son Michael, were by her side, praying with her during her final moments.
Shannon Collier Belisle expressed her condolences, saying, “I’m so very sorry. Praying for your family.”
Cathy Flowers Mills added, “One of the most beautiful things about death is our bodies are restored to perfect health and function.”
Kendra Smith Brown leaves behind a family that loved her deeply, and her memory will continue to live on in their hearts.
