Arlington, Texas – Kevin W. Woodhurst, a highly respected pool designer known for his extraordinary work in the pool industry, has entered hospice care after a long battle with stage 4 head and neck cancer.
Diagnosed in June 2023, Kevin fought bravely through extensive treatments, including 38 rounds of radiation, 9 rounds of immunotherapy, and multiple rounds of chemotherapy.
Despite his determination to return to the work he loved, his condition worsened after he developed double pneumonia and sepsis.
The illness became too much for his body to overcome.
Kevin’s wife, Heather, and his family have been at his side, as friends and colleagues expressed their love and support for the Woodhurst family during this difficult time.
A GoFundMe campaign was launched by Kimberly Gay to help with medical bills and funeral expenses.
Heather shared her gratitude on social media, saying, "The calls and texts have been so heartwarming!"
The pool industry has been deeply touched by Kevin’s legacy as a talented designer, with many expressing their sadness at his declining health.
