Montgomery, Alabama – Lavonnda Pierce, a 28-year-old online student at Walden University, tragically passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2024, due to congestive heart failure. Her passing has left her family and friends heartbroken, and now, they are seeking help with funeral and burial expenses.
Lavonnda’s mother, Shamieka Pierce, has organized a fundraiser to cover the unexpected costs, as Lavonnda was unable to secure life insurance due to her health condition. The family has set a goal of $10,000 to assist with the expenses, and so far, $160 has been raised through four donations.
The donations include a generous anonymous contribution of $100 made just 12 minutes ago, along with smaller amounts from John Gibbs, Adriene Walker, and Nautica Burge.
Shamieka Pierce expressed her gratitude to all who have extended their condolences and support, saying, “Thank you to everyone in advance for your donations and kind words.”
Lavonnda was remembered as a loving and kind young adult who, despite her health challenges, continued pursuing her education. Her family is now seeking the community’s support to honor her memory and provide her with a proper farewell.
