Greenville County, SC – Lornder Lee Palmer, a 56-year-old resident of Greenville, tragically lost her life on September 27, 2024, during the devastating Tropical Storm Helene.
At approximately 7:17 a.m., emergency responders were called to 5 Cedar Ave. Lot 11, where a tree had fallen onto her home.
Ms. Palmer was found trapped inside the residence, which had been crushed by the tree, leaving her no chance to escape.
She was pronounced dead at 7:38 a.m., becoming one of the storm’s first confirmed fatalities.
This incident has left the Greenville community in shock, with many expressing their sorrow online.
