Sandpoint, Idaho – Marlene Thornburg, a beloved grandmother and source of unwavering love within her family, has passed away after a brave battle with terminal cancer. Marlene’s condition, which had spread to her lungs, liver, and brain, worsened rapidly, leading her family to seek hospice care.
Marlene’s family shared the heartbreaking news of her passing through a GoFundMe campaign organized by her granddaughter, Vanessa Jenkins. The family revealed that Marlene had struggled with the financial burden of end-of-life care after being forced to cancel her life insurance policy just a month before her diagnosis due to unaffordable premiums.
