Calgary, Alberta – A shooting incident near the Calgary Drop-In Centre has left a man in critical condition, sparking a swift police investigation in downtown Calgary.
The incident occurred on Wednesday evening, October 2, 2024, just before 6:00 PM, when emergency services responded to multiple reports of gunfire.
The victim, an adult male, was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and was rushed to a local hospital, where he remains in intensive care, though his condition is reported as stable.
The Calgary Police Service (CPS) immediately cordoned off the area and began gathering evidence, including security footage from nearby businesses, to identify potential suspects and witnesses.
