Singapore – Melvin Chow, a respected figure in the event management industry, passed away in his sleep at home on September 24, 2024, at the age of 61.
His sudden death has left his family and friends in deep sorrow.
Melvin was discovered motionless by his brother that evening and was pronounced dead at the scene, with no foul play suspected.
Having spent many years in the industry, Melvin was known for his dedication and hard work, making many friends and connections through his work.
He also had experience as a welder before transitioning into event management.
His wake is being held at Block 310, Hougang Avenue 5, from Tuesday (Sept 24) to Saturday (Sept 28).
The cortege will depart for cremation at around 4 p.m. on Saturday, with the cremation scheduled to take place at 5 p.m. at Mandai Crematorium Hall 01.
In a heartfelt plea, his family expressed their difficulty in contacting Melvin’s friends due to being unable to unlock his phone, and they hope this post will reach those who knew him.
Condolences poured in on social media, with Tina Mercury de Costa sharing, “Rest in peace, Melvin. Condolences to his family,” and Dennis Khew expressing, “RIP. A fellow Houganger. God bless his precious soul.”
Melvin’s legacy of hard work and friendship will be remembered by all who knew him.
