Michael Keith Gorley, Missing Since 2015, Continues to Inspire Search Efforts and Calls for Justice

Stanford, Kentucky – Michael Keith Gorley, a 38-year-old man who has been missing since May 17, 2015, remains the focus of ongoing search efforts by his family and community, despite the case remaining unresolved for over nine years.

Gorley was last seen leaving a friend’s house in Stanford, Kentucky, and heading toward Junction City, just days after being released from jail following a traffic-related incident.

His vehicle was later found partially submerged in a pond on Wilderness Trail Road, but there was no sign of Gorley himself.

His family suspects foul play, believing that Gorley was murdered by individuals he considered friends.

Search efforts have been complicated by the lack of remains, and although Detective Frank Thornberry has interviewed over 50 individuals in the years following Gorley’s disappearance, no arrests have been made.

Gorley’s mother, Sandra Hasty, has been at the forefront of the search, preserving key items like his shoes and hat, which were found on a porch near where he was last seen.

Despite initial dismissals by authorities, the case has gained more attention as family and friends push for justice.

On social media, many have expressed their grief and hope for answers.

Donald Pike commented, “Now I can see how the other people are getting away from being brought to justice now for Michael.”

Anyone with information regarding Michael Gorley’s disappearance is urged to contact the Kentucky State Police as the family continues to search for answers and justice.
