Her unexpected departure has left a profound void among family, friends, and those she touched throughout her life.
Mona, born on August 1, 1957, in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico, was known for her unwavering dedication to her family and community.
She raised over $500,000 for local organizations, fostering educational opportunities through the Escondido Christian School and Escondido Charter High School.
Mona’s son-in-law, Bill Durney, shared, “Her legacy will continue through the Mona L. Durney Scholarship Fund, ensuring her spirit of giving lives on.”
