Centreville, VA – Natividad Cacdac Arellano, a devoted mother and grandmother, passed away on October 2, 2024, at the age of 80.
Her death marks the end of a life filled with strength, love, and resilience, cherished by her family and friends.
Born on December 3, 1943, in Naguilian, La Union, Philippines, Natividad, also known as “Naty,” lived a life dedicated to supporting those around her.
She raised her two children, Michael Donnelly and Danica Quigley, largely on her own, showing incredible determination in the face of challenges.
After the closure of the US Navy base in Subic Bay, she bravely moved her family to Guam and later to Metairie, Louisiana, to pursue better opportunities.
Her warm spirit, generosity, and love for her family, including her cherished grandchildren Lyla, Makayla, Nina Belle, Darwin, and Leona, defined her life.
“She truly was an inspiration,” said Vangie Vergara in a heartfelt social media post. “You will never be forgotten.”
Natividad’s love of gardening, cooking, and opening her home to others left an indelible mark on those who knew her.
A visitation will be held at Fairfax Memorial Funeral Home in Fairfax, VA, on Friday, October 18, 2024, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
Her memory will continue to shine in the hearts of all those she touched.
