Waikerie, South Australia – Neil William “Wazza” Adams, a cherished member of the Waikerie community, passed away peacefully at Waikerie Hospital on September 17, 2024, at the age of 62. He was surrounded by family members at the time of his passing.
Wazza was a devoted husband to Veronica and a loving father to his daughters, Emily and Chloe. He was also a beloved brother to Janet, Garry, Deane, Carol, Linda, Wendy, and Colin, and is remembered fondly by his late sister, Susan. His friendships with Raymond, Michelle, and their family were equally dear to him.
A tireless volunteer, Wazza dedicated countless hours to serving the Waikerie community, particularly through his involvement with the Country Fire Service (CFS). His contributions and commitment to the community will be remembered by many.
His funeral service will be held at the Waikerie CFS Depot on September 25, 2024, at 11:00 am, followed by a private cremation. In lieu of flowers, donations to the CFS Foundation in Wazza’s memory are encouraged.
Tributes have poured in across social media. Carlene Frost remarked, “Wazza was a gentleman who gave of his time not just to family and friends but volunteering many hours within our community, making a difference.”
