Southern Comfort Antiques and the broader community are mourning the loss of Nelson Nizer, a well-known and cherished coin dealer, who passed away unexpectedly on the morning of October 1, 2024.
Nelson, known for his deep knowledge of coins and currency, was a beloved figure at the antique shop, where he shared his passion with collectors of all ages.
His passing has left a significant void in the hearts of many who frequented the shop, as well as his loved ones.
The shop fondly remembered Nelson’s banter with his colleague John Seibel, which brought joy to those who witnessed their lively interactions.
In a heartfelt post, Cathy Nizer, his partner of 38 years, expressed her deep sorrow, saying, “This is so hard…. I miss you more than you’ll ever know Nels.”
Friends and acquaintances also shared their condolences on social media.
