Ardee, Ireland – The community is mourning the loss of Pat McCartney, founder and owner of Mid-Louth Garage, who passed away on October 9, 2024, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda.
His sudden passing has left a profound void in the hearts of his loved ones and the local community.
Pat McCartney was a well-known and respected businessman in Ardee, County Louth, whose entrepreneurial spirit helped him build Mid-Louth Garage from the ground up.
Under his leadership, the business became a trusted establishment, known for its dedication to quality service and commitment to the community.
His vision and passion were key to the success of Mid-Louth Garage, and his legacy will continue to inspire those who worked with him.
Tributes and condolences poured in on social media, with Mid-Louth Garage Ltd expressing, “It is with great sadness that we announce the untimely passing of the great Pat McCartney… Our hearts are broken at this time. Rest in peace Dad.”
Others who knew Pat personally also shared their memories, such as Philip Ponton, who recalled, "I met Pat on many occasions whilst I worked with International Harvester and Case IH… a fine and respected man."
Pat McCartney is survived by his family, including his sons, Cormac and Niall.
He will be reposing at his residence in Roodstown on October 10, 2024, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a funeral mass scheduled for October 12 at St. Nicholas’ Church, Stabannon.
