Vancouver, Washington – Patricia Jimerfiel, a 78-year-old local resident, was found dead in her home on the evening of October 8, 2024.
The discovery was made by detectives from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office after receiving a report of an incapacitated individual at her residence near Northeast 26th Avenue and Northwest 99th Street in the Lakeshore area.
Authorities responded to the call at approximately 9:41 p.m., where they found Jimerfiel deceased inside her home.
Her death is currently being treated as a homicide, according to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit.
Jimerfiel’s daughter, Stephanie Ayersman, had grown concerned after her mother failed to pick her and her son up as scheduled.
Daily communication with her mother had been a routine, and Ayersman became increasingly anxious when her calls went unanswered.
Accompanied by her aunt, Ayersman went to Jimerfiel’s residence and found her mother’s body.
Ayersman described her mother’s death as brutal, stating, "She did not deserve that."
She also revealed that her mother’s home had been burglarized twice in the days before her death, with criminals allegedly stealing her wallets on both Monday and Tuesday.
No arrests have been made at this time, and the investigation is ongoing.
