Pers Lielnors, Beloved Frankston Bombers Coach, Passes Away After a Short Illness

Frankston, Victoria – The Frankston Bombers community is mourning the loss of Pers Lielnors, who passed away on October 16, 2024, after a short illness.

His passing has left a deep void in the hearts of many who had the privilege of knowing him.

Pers was a key figure at the Frankston Bombers during the late 1980s and early 1990s, serving as the successful coach of the Under-18s team before becoming Chairman of Selectors.

Throughout his tenure, he nurtured and guided young talent, making a lasting impact on the club.

In a tribute shared by the Frankston Bombers on social media, they expressed their grief, stating, “Pers was an integral part of our Club, and his contributions will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.”

The message also extended heartfelt condolences to his wife, Judy, and children, David, Kristian, and Indi.

Former players and colleagues shared memories of Pers, with Cameron Charles writing, “An absolute legend.

My favourite footy coach ever by far.”

Jason Zach reflected, “Thank you for everything you did for me during my teens.

Those memories will be cherished forever.”
