Peter Speranza, 35, Tragically Dies in Bristol Motorcycle Accident

Bristol, Connecticut – Peter Speranza, a 35-year-old resident of Bristol, tragically lost his life in a motorcycle accident on Sunday, October 6, 2024.

The fatal crash occurred around 11 a.m. on Mountain Road.

According to authorities, Speranza was riding west on Pine Street when he turned onto Mountain Road.

He was unable to navigate a curve and collided with an oncoming Honda CRV driven by 74-year-old Patrick Parente.

Sadly, Speranza succumbed to his injuries at the scene, while Parente sustained only minor injuries and was released from the hospital shortly after.

The crash prompted a temporary closure of Mountain Road as investigators from the Bristol Police Department’s Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team examined the site until approximately 4:30 p.m.

An investigation into the precise cause of the accident is ongoing.

Condolences poured in on social media, with the Bristol Swedish Social Club expressing, “RIP Peter Speranza… tragically taken too soon.

The BSSC sends our condolences to the family and friends.”

One Facebook user, Florence Lemieux, noted, “Was this the accident today on the Mt Road?” to which Christine Gaedeke replied, “Yes, he leaves two children behind.”

The tragic accident serves as a sobering reminder of the importance of road safety.

The community mourns the loss of a life cut short, and thoughts remain with the family of Peter Speranza during this difficult time.
